FIELD TRIP

As part of our B.Ed curriculum our college organised for a one day field trip to the Mango meadows agricultural theme park in Kottayam🏞️🏞️🏞️. We were accompanied by four of our teachers who extended their complete support and care to us and also made our journey a remarkable one. We began our journey at 6:30 in the morning and had our breakfast at 8:00 in a restaurant named aaramam .after four and a half hours of journey we reached our destination at 11 30. We were briefed on the facilities available and was provided with a guide who introduced different kinds of trees 🌴 🌴 🌴 and gave more information on activities and games 🎮🎮🎮🎮. There were vegetable 🥒 🥒 🥒 🥒 gardens 🏡 🏡 🏡 🏡 on different places and also had a fish🐟 🐟 🐟 feeding section which also holds a myth that whoever feeds the fish will be relieved from their past sins. There was a replica of the Eden garden with a sculpture 🗿🗿🗿of Adam and Eve and a wide range of trees. Then we saw coir making and pottery⚱️⚱️⚱️. We got the chance to listen to a melodious performance by one of the staffs who played flute on a recently released Malayalam movie song. We also saw sculptures depicting the union of nature and man. After the introduction section the guide left us and we were allowed to explore by our own. Me and my friends went for boat ⛵ ⛵ ride. then went for cycling🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️. We had our lunch at 1 15 pm and returned to fun activities. We then went for pedal boating. We were then called to the pool 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️ and had lots of fun there. We changed from our wet clothes and went for evening tea ☕ ☕ and snacks 🥨🥨. We took our group photo and thanked the staffs for a wonderful day and started our return journey. We had a wonderful time with our beloved teachers and friends and made our final hours before parting a memorable one. We reached our college at 9 pm and said goodbye to everyone and went home. Thus our field trip came to an end.

Today our college conducted a SUPW program for the first years included in the curriculum. We were asked to create things useful for society and environment. The time allotted to complete the work was three hours. I created fabriv painting design on a small piece of white cloth . The other things made by the students include warley art, fabric painting, doll making, bird nest , bangle holder , bottle art , wall hangings, paper bags etc. Our works were exhibited department wise and the teachers evaluated our creations.

FIRE AND SAFETY WORKSHOP (NSS)

Today we had a Fire and Safety workshop organised by the NSS unit of our college. Four personnels from the fire and safety department were present. The ASTO Mr.Anil Kumar took classes on different types of fire outbreaks and different types of fire extinguishers. They brought fire extinguishers with them and showed us how each one of them operates. He educated us on the approach we must adopt during fire outbreaks. We learnt that there are different types of fire extinguishers each for liquid, electrical and other materials. They gave us demonstration of foam extinguishers used in petrol pumps using thinner . We were also given class on the proper use of LPG cylinder, the structure of a cylinder, how to differentiate the cylinders of different companies, the proper response to a gas leakage and it's safe installation. AIDS DAY CELEBRATION

Today (December 1) we celebrate the aids day in our college. Morning 9 30 principle relased the ballon, and say about the aids day. After that we attend our daily classes. After the lunch break we continue the celebration with watching short film about the aids.
